Handel in England: The Alternative Messiah (SOLD OUT)

A recital exploring Handel’s most famous oratorio in unfamiliar contexts. Susan Young and Lisa Wilson (sopranos) and Robert Howarth (harpsichord) perform Locke and Blow’s versions of ‘I know that my Redeemer Liveth’, J.C. Bach’s soprano duets, and Handel’s Italian soprano duets that share the tune of Messiah choruses, amongst other contemporary English soprano solos and duets.
