Major Programme of Special Events in 2009 Marking the 250th Anniversary of the Death of Handel
To mark the 250th anniversary of the death of George Frideric Handel, a programme of events, including BBC broadcasts, new music commissions, concerts, performances of rarely-heard works and a new exhibition will take place in 2009. At the heart of the commemorative events will be Handel House Museum at 25 Brook Street, Mayfair, Handel’s home for thirty-six years and the place where he died on 14 April 1759.

'Handel & the Castrati' Exhibition Commended at the Museums and Heritage Awards for Excellence
The Handel House Museum's Handel & the Castrati Exhibition (31 March - 1 October 2006) has been commended at The Museums and Heritage Awards for Excellence in the Temporary/Touring Exhibition category. The winners were announced on 9 May at the London's New Connaught Rooms.
Newly appointed Ensemble-in-Residence
Acclaimed early music group The Burney Players has been appointed Handel House Museum's first Ensemble-in-Residence.
New exhibition: Handel & Glyndebourne
It has only been during the 20th and 21st centuries that opera houses have re-discovered the attractions of Handel's operas and oratorios. After Handel's death in 1759, there were no staged performances of Handel's works until 1920.
World Premiere - Handel Meets Mozart meets the first Composer-in-Residence at Handel's house
An incomplete arrangement of a Handel fugue by Mozart (the autograph of which is on permanent display at Handel House Museum) will receive its Handel House Museum premiere on 11 June.

Handel House has chosen Mark Bowden to be its first ever Composer-in-Residence, a scheme which will continue to keep the House alive with musical creativity and performance, as it was in Handel's day over 300 years ago.

A new exhibition on Handel's part in the intriguing story of the operatic castrati opens at the Handel House Museum, Mayfair, London on 29 March 2006, running until 1 October 2006.
Nuit Des Musées: A Little Night Music
Experience a night of musical pleasure in the intimate setting of Handel's own home. A Little Night Music at Handel House on 14 May puts the audience in touch with the sensual and philosophical night imagery present in the music of Handel and his contemporaries.
