The recorder was one of the most popular instruments in London in the 18th century. This programme explores some of the wonderful and inspiring music that was being published and played in town, drawn from some the most fashionable composers of the time. Music by Castruci, Corelli and Handel amongst others performed by Lisete da Silva (recorders) and Gunhild Tonder (harpsichord).
