Thursday 15 March, 6.30-7.30pm
Fête Galante is a new duo formed by Sarah Gabriel (soprano) and Nathaniel Mander (harpsichord) to explore their shared passion for the elegant, elaborate, intimate music of early 18th century France. This, their first programme, includes rarely-heard celebrations of love by French composers Rameau, Duphly and Foucquet, some neglected English airs and a few of Handel’s most romantic arias from Rodelinda, Orlando and Rinaldo.
